Meet Molly O’Neil, LPC, Co-Owner of TGP

Many of us become experts at carrying difficult things on our own. You don't have to wait until you're struggling "enough" to reach out for support.

I'm Molly, and I'm so glad you're here. I believe that many of the ways we've learned to cope, protect ourselves, and relate to others make sense in the context of our experiences. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted as we approach your story with curiosity and compassion.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who have spent much of their lives caring for others, holding themselves to high expectations, or wondering why they keep finding themselves in the same patterns.

My approach is warm and collaborative, balancing compassion and validation with gentle challenge. I believe insight is important, but understanding something intellectually isn't always enough to create lasting change. My work is about helping the head and the heart become more aligned.

One of the ways I support that process is through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that it helps bridge the gap between understanding experiences intellectually and experiencing healing emotionally.

Before opening The Growing Place, I worked at Cook Children's Hospital and later provided trauma-informed therapy at The Women's Center of Tarrant County, supporting children, adolescents, and adults impacted by violence, crime, and other difficult experiences.

I'm a Fort Worth native, and earned my bachelor's degree from Tulane University and my master's degree from Texas Christian University, where I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education. I have additional training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI).

Whether you're carrying the weight of difficult experiences, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or simply hoping to better understand yourself, I'd be honored to meet you there. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to navigate it alone.

I'd love to hear from you.

If you have questions or are wondering whether we'd be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out.
